We all know,

Public transport is

one of the best

ways to reduce

carbon emissions.

Shared Capacity

Public vehicles like buses and trains can carry many more people than a single car. This means the emissions from running the vehicle are spread out among more passengers, resulting in fewer total emissions per person.

Reduced Congestion

Fewer cars on the road due to public transport use means less traffic congestion. This translates to less idling and stop-and-go emissions from individual vehicles.

Desigo decided
to never use any
personal
transportation
system of its own.

Rather, we believe in utilizing existing public transportation between rural and urban areas, where our plant is located. This approach has helped us achieve 2 key goals:

Firstly, we were able to contribute towards less carbon emissions due to shared transportation.

Secondly, making milk more affordable for society was a priority. If we had used our own vehicles for milk transportation, the initial purchase cost and ongoing fuel expenses would have added to the final price of our milk. Therefore, by utilising public transportation, we were able to cut these unnecessary costs, ultimately keeping milk more affordable.

Milk Reservation

Desigo milk is single origin produced milk, from the finest geographies, no matter where these geographies are.

The best milk is always produced at untouched habitats, away from the urban civilizations.

Flavor Transfer

Over time, heat exposure can make plastic slightly porous, This can pick up nearby smells and slightly change the taste of milk & quality.

Micro-plastics

Over time, plastic can degrade into tiny particles called micro-plastics. While the exact health impact of micro-plastics in food is still being investigated, some studies raise concerns about potential health risks

Hormonal imbalance

Plastic pouches, especially over time or with heat exposure, can potentially leach chemicals like BPA into your milk. Studies have shown that even low levels of BPA exposure can disrupt hormones.

But,

What happens to the milk

during transport?
Does temperature impact

the quality of the milk?

Absolutely! Milk spoils and degrades due to the growth of harmful bacteria if not kept chilled (below 3-4°C) throughout the journey, eventually curdling. To protect the milk during transport, there are two main practices that we are aware of -

First, to let the milk ret chill throughout the transportation journey, so that it retain freshness and be pure.

Second, to add chemical Nutilizer without maintaing the temprature. This option comes at a very cheap cost. That’s why some of your dear milk companies are able to sell milk at a low rate. Chemical neutralizers prevent milk curdling by reducing acidity and calcium availability, delaying the curdling process caused by lactic acid.

Yes, yes, relax, obviously we're against the second point. We've added a video for you to watch how we maintain those ideal chilled temperatures of the milk during public transportation.

SMART INSULATED
MILK BARRELS

Smart insulated milk barrels by RTCOM ensure that milk remains chilled during its transportation to the plant. These barrels are equipped with the RTCOM R1 chip to track and monitor them during transportation. Desigo reserved members can also experience the tracking via Desigo app.

Monitoring and tracking the milk barrels lead to a super resource management system which have its own merits of -

Maximising their potential and,

Also, we wanted to convey something we've observed: these days, companies that are being sustainable often tend to be expensive.

We don't know why this happens.

Here at Desigo, our efforts are focused on becoming affordable by combining sustainability and innovation. Our circularity isn't limited solely to eco-friendliness or lower carbon emissions; its effects should also help us decrease product prices, fulfilling our mission and vision.

Well, we would like to be crystal clear about one thing. We’re not a perfect company—not even close. However, our intentions are true. Which is why we ask that you judge us on our actions—the things we do to contribute to humanity and the planet—and not solely on all the pretty words crafted to make this website sound cool.
