Farms Where ?

Informally,
it was around 1847. Back then, the Desigo name wasn't there, but our spirit, vibe, and feel were already present. It was a historical time for us, having 2 farms in rural Rajasthan Near jaiselmer.

May 14, 2018:
Desigo was blessed with its first two farms, one raising 49 Kankrej cows and the other raising 62 Red Sindhi cows, both desi breeds.

February 12, 2019:
We welcomed a third farm with 56 Rathi cows, another desi breed.

September 20, 2020:
By God's grace, we adopted a farm in Jaisalmer raising Tharparker cows, another desi breed.

April 22, 2021:
With our existing herd thriving, we didn't need to expand further at that time.

January 16, 2022:
We onboarded three additional farms, raising Gir, Kankrej, and Sahiwal cows, all desi breeds.

Since the turn of the century, the dairy industry has placed less emphasis on farm geographic locations. However, the environment plays a very important role,

Impacting cows' living standards & moods,

the quality of soil to grow cow feed,

and pollution levels that affect the hygiene and purity.

which eventually degrades milk quality.

Earlier this century, India used to produce the best milk quality due to its rich demographics, geography, soils, and unpolluted environment. However, in today's world of urbanization advancements, many locations have been transformed into urban sprawls with factories and industries, leading to pollution.

Despite this, some locations remain untouched and have relatively rich soil (not as rich as the golden days, but better than most places today). These untouched locations, where farming is practiced by generations of old farmers, still produce high-quality milk.

This milk is single-origin, produced from the finest geographical locations, regardless of their remoteness or rural character. The best milk is always produced at untouched habitats, away from the urban civilisations.

This is precisely why transportation methods have evolved ( See how Desigo carries out transportation from deep far rural farms to Desigo Plant / what happens to the milk while transportation ? )

Desigo milk, for instance, cannot be limited to production in just one location, as this wouldn't achieve the desired high standards. It requires selected farms with specific breeds of Desi cows.

Also,
we follow a strong theory.

We believe, if there is construction, its not a farm, It's a misconception to think otherwise.

Natural means nature’s way, no bullshit !

Yes, you wont find any fancy constuctions at desigo farms.

Desigo is clearly against and don’t support those practice that diminishes the concept of naturalness, organicity and purity. A farm is supposed to be an untouched or naturally constructed area without the use of artificial substance that indirectly interfere in animal’s life, living standards which in turn gives cows the stress and unfavourable living and impacting the environment.
